"Wasn't that a dandy County Fair! Five nights and four days of good weather, with a good rain to settle the dust. My antiques exhibits attracted plenty of viewers and some happy blue ribbon winners. Some new exhibitors are joining in the fun, as well as old timers who have been with it before. The fair depends on volunteers, thanks too for their willing help. And weren't the flower boxes and the barrell plantings spectacular! We look for you in '97.

The Taylor W/ELCA Salad Luncheon was attended by 100 guests and a lively program of music by "Wild Flowers" and theme of that name was enjoyed by all. Thanks for coming.

Sunday evening Elaine Pregent drove to Decorah, IA to spend a week at rosemalling class.

The sudden and severe wind that struck our area early Wednesday caused much havoc and misery to residents of mobile homes near Trempealeau Valley Church. We extend words and thoughts of comfort to all those affected.

Congratulations to Miss Sadie Lien, crowned 1st attendant to the Miss Jackson County for 1996-97. Sadie will be a sophomore at UW-Platteville."
