Sausage-Asparagus Bake

1/2 pound link sausages (about 8)
2 cups cooked rice
1 cup Knudsen Cottage Cheese
1/2 cup Knudsen Hampshire Sour Cream
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1 (10-oz.) package frozen asparagus
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup cup fine bread crumbs
2 tablespoons Knudsen Butter

Cook sausages over low heat until most of the fat has fried out. Do not let brown. Drain and set aside. Mix rice, cottage cheese, Hampshire Sour Cream and onion together. Cut the asparagus in bite-size pieces (reserving 4 spears to arrange on top) and stir into cheese mixture. Add salt and papper and 4 of the sausages cut in small pieces. Pour into 9-inch shallow baking disk and sprinkle crumbs on top. Make a pinwheel of remaining sausages and dot with butter in between "spokes." Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) about 20 minutes, then place remaining asparagus to alternate with sausages to complete pinwheel. Return to oven and bake 10 minutes longer. Serves 6 to 8.
